Hi guys,
Just a note to remind y'all, or for those who don't know--Our beloved Beth is scheduled to go in the hospital Monday the 8TH for an operation.
Though not considered life threatening, it's still a major thing for her.
Thoughts, prayers and good wishes would be greatly appreciated I'm sure

Beth, if you are not already in the O.R. we are hoping for your quick recovery. Your fun loving spirit is the fuel used to drive JPF onward and upward... and you have been sorely missed. Hi Everyone,
I just wanted to take a moment to thank you all for the prayers and good wishes you sent out during my recent surgery. Due to some unexpected complications, I was not released until last night....but it sure is good to be home!!
To clear up any mystery surrounding the precedure itself, I had to have a radical hysterectomy due to some early indications of uterine cancer. The latter is a condition highly associated with my underying condition of Dermatomyositis...but the surgeon was quite confident she was able to get everything, and that there would be no need for any further treatments. An additional complication was discovered during surgery, but that too was addressed in the O.R.
The biggest issue I am now contending with is a reactivation of my shingles. Because the surgery was done robotically, several of the incisions and the docking stations were made thru the area of my post-herpetic neuralgia...and so alas, the pain is excruciating. The hope is that once the inflammation from the surgery recedes, so too will the a pain.
At any rate, thank you again for everything. I sure hope to be back to my old wacky self sooner than later. In the meantime, please feel free to send a few more good wishes to help rid me of these dang shingles....

Beth, when I had to do some work on the house, I discovered there was a tool for removing shingles. It was still an excruciating procedure. And it takes a long time, too. I am glad you're back, and mostly in one piece. (And hey, there's probably a song or two or three in it.)

Yaaaaay Beth. So glad it's over and you'll be joining the festivities here again, but mostly glad it appears the worst is over. I hear alot about shingles lately and that it can come from stress as well. The man who owns our local health food store has a Phd in nutrition and he recommends a product called Shingle Rescue. Don't know if it's something you want to check out.

I hereby cast them all away for now and evermore
For shingles give a tingle that can knock you to the floor
No shingle better mingle with our Beth and that's for sure!
